In April 2025, the technical team from SI Analytics embarked on a critical work mission to Sendou Power Station, located just outside Dakar, Senegal. The objective: to repair, calibrate, and optimise a Protea Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) — a vital tool in ensuring the station’s compliance with environmental regulations and accurate monitoring of stack emissions.
Upon arrival, the team immediately got to work diagnosing and resolving issues that were affecting the performance of the CEMS. Through a methodical and expert-led repair process, the system was fully restored and calibrated to deliver precise and reliable data.
With the technical work successfully completed, Mr. Leo de Veer led an intensive on-site training session for the Sendou Power Station technical staff. The training focused on both the theory and operation of the CEMS, equipping the local team with the knowledge and practical skills required to independently operate and maintain the system.
This hands-on knowledge transfer ensures the continuous, autonomous operation of the emission monitoring system, a key factor in environmental accountability and performance optimization at the power station.
The mission reflects SI Analytics’ commitment not only to delivering high-quality technical services, but also to building local capacity and long-term partnerships across Africa’s energy sector.
From technical excellence to sustainable impact, SI Analytics is proud to support cleaner, smarter energy practices, one project at a time.
